toshiba 42h82 HDTV Ready Table Top 43 Inch TV
IDSC(TM) Pro
This advanced digital scan conversion system allows the TV to accept
and display both progressive scan and HD video signals. IDSC(TM) utilizes
line doubling, frame doubling, pixel doubling, and double sampling for
the best possible progressive scan images. IDSC(TM) Pro creates a single,
no compromise, focus point for a consistently sharper image.
TruView(TM)
By combining the following picture enhancement technologies, Black Level
Expansion, Fine White, Flesh Tone Correction and Color Detail Enhancer,
this system automatically reproduces more accurate picture detail and
true color.
Zoom Mode
Toshiba already provides two consumer selectable 16:9 Modes for display
of a wide screen HDTV image on a 4:3 television. The Compression Mode
creates black bars at the top and bottom of the screen and displays
all 1080 lines inside the illuminated 16:9 portion of the screen. The
Letterbox Mode actively scans the entire screen, creating gray bars
above and below the picture area. This mode significantly reduces the
chances of uneven CRT wear or "burn-in" when compared to the
Compression Mode. While the television is set to the Letterbox Mode
before leaving the factory, the final option is left to the consumer.
Now, we also offer Zoom, which crops and expands a 16:9 image so that
it fills the screen of a 4:3 TV (eliminating any black or gray bars).
HD Dynamic Contrast
Active only in the Sports Mode, this intelligent circuitry adjusts and
separately optimizes the dynamic range in each area of the picture.
The result is a significant increase in contrast and color saturation,
creating deep, rich images.
QuickConnect(TM) On-Screen Set-Up Guide
This on-screen set-up guide automatically appears the first time a set
is powered up, or it may be accessed through the regular OSD menu. QuickConnect(TM)
acts as set-up wizard, helping consumers with connection of an antenna
or cable box as well as performing initial channel scan, picture preference
and other set-up features. |
